NATIONAL HIV TESTING DAY - Friday, June 27
National HIV Testing Day is Friday, June 27^th.  In recognition of the day, free, rapid HIV testing will be offered at FAU to all students, faculty and staff the week of June 23^rd.  Testing will be provided by Care Resource and is being offered on a first come, first served basis.  The test requires no needles and results are available in approximately 30 minutes.  The testing schedule is as follows:

Davie Campus: Monday, June 23^rd from 11:30am – 3:30pm and 4:30pm – 7:30pm in the Care Resource van parked south of the Student Union

Dania Beach Campus: Tuesday, June 24^th from 12:30pm – 1:30pm in the Care Resource van parked in the front of the parking lot

Fort Lauderdale Campus: June 24^th from 3:30pm – 6:30pm in the Care Resource van parked in the front of the Askew Tower

Boca Raton Campus: Thursday, June 26^th from 10:30am – 2:00pm in Today & Beyond Wellness, SS-222

NEW BOCA CLINIC HOURS!!

Beginning Monday, January 14, 2008, the Boca Student Health Services Clinic will be open the following hours:

Monday-Thursday     8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Friday                         8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Pharmacy hours will not change.

2008-09 STUDENT INSURANCE PLAN

Information is now available for the 2008-09 student insurance plan.  View the policy and apply on-line by clicking here.   The last day to purchase the annual plan or for the Fall semester is September 16. 2008.

A representative from Insurance for Students is in the International Students office (Student Support Services Building, Room 214) on Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  More information can be obtained by calling Insurance for Students at 1-800-356-1235.

**NEW ** MYNURSELINE - 24 HOUR NURSE TRIAGE LINE
All FAU students have access to Unitedhealthcare's nurse advice and health information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by dialing 1-800-883-2951.  The NurseLine is staffed by Registered Nurses who can help students determine if they need to seek medical care, understand their medications or medical procedures, or learn ways to stay healthy.

Student Health Services is committed to providing access to high quality, affordable medical and dental care for FAU students.  A student heatlh fee of $6.33 per credit hour is paid by all registered students and subsidizes all care provided.

Student Health Services is committed to keeping fee-for-service charges reasonable while being fiscally responsible in our budgetary processes.  Please contact Assistant Director Dean Kolar at 561-297-0704 with your comments or questions about the student health fee or any fee-for-service charge.

The FAU Pharmacy on the Boca Raton campus is a modern, state-of-the-art facility located near Student Health Services in the Student Services Building (8), Room 223, above the Breezeway Food Court.

Services available for all students, faculty and staff include: Outpatient prescription services, individual consultation with a pharmacist, medication education sheets and a full line of over-the-counter products, including cosmetics.
