![]() The Boca Raton campus Student Health Services (SHS) is staffed by board-certified physicians, advanced registered nurse practitioners, registered nurses, a board-certified dentist, dental hygienist, health and wellness educators and well trained support staff to serve your health care and health education needs. SHS is funded by the Student Health Fee, part of each student's tuition. National HIV Testing Day - Friday, June 27National HIV Testing Day is Friday, June 27th. In recognition of the day, free, rapid HIV testing will be offered at FAU to all students, faculty and staff the week of June 23rd. Testing will be provided by Care Resource and is being offered on a first come, first served basis. The test requires no needles and results are available in approximately 30 minutes. The testing schedule is as follows: Davie Campus: Monday, June 23rd from 11:30am – 3:30pm and 4:30pm – 7:30pm in the Care Resource van parked south of the Student Union Dania
Fort Lauderdale Campus: June 24th from 3:30pm – 6:30pm in the Care Resource van parked in the front of the

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Services ProvidedThere is a $5.00 charge for all medical office visits at Student Health Services. Laboratory tests needed to assist in diagnosis and follow-up are available at reduced fees. Medications are available at reduced fees at the FAU Pharmacy. Health education/prevention programs offered by Today and Beyond Wellness Program are offered at no charge to students, faculty and staff.Payment for ServicesCash, checks, VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express cards are accepted as payment at the Boca campus Cashier's Office for services received at the Boca SHS. The Cashier's Office is located on the first floor of the Student Support Services Building (SU80).InsuranceStudents are strongly encouraged to have health insurance coverage. If you are not covered by your family health insurance plan and you want coverage, FAU sponsors an accident and sickness policy for domestic and international students. The insurance plan must be purchased during the first 30 days of each semester.
