STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES COMING TO BROWARD!Watch for an on-campus clinic to open in the new Student Union in late Fall 2007 or early Spring 2008.Health Services That Fit Your Busy ScheduleFlorida Atlantic University and Nova Southeastern University Student Medical Center understand how valuable time is and how demanding regular health maintenance can be for students. Our FAU Student Health program at the NSU Student Student Medical Center affords busy students the opportunity for professional and efficient medical care close to the Broward campuses.Services Covered by your FAU Student Health FeeFor all Broward students who meet FAU's eligibility requirements, health services include primary care visits for episodic and chronic illnesses and minor injuries, physical exams, individual medical consultations, health education and routine screenings.Women's health visits include physical exams, contraception management, pregnancy determination and care for sexually transmitted infections. Additional fees will be charged for laboratory tests, immunizations, injections, medications, x-rays and other diagnostic exams. The student is responsible for payment for these fees. A student requiring special attention may be referred by the attending health professional to a specialist for further treatment. The FAU Student Health fee does not cover referrals and specialty care (Obstetrics, Orthopedics, Surgery, etc.). Services NOT Covered by your FAU Student Health Fee
In Case of EmergencyEmergency services, those required for life-threatening conditions, are not provided by the NSU Student Medical Center. |
